This Old Fashioned Bar Soap was first made by the hard-working pioneers. They had to be resourceful and learn how to make their own soap from wood ashes and lard / tallow.
Our bar soap is an absolute duplicate of that same soap.
We use lard or beef tallow as the hardening fat in our soaps—it makes for a long lasting effective bar of soap.
It has a creamy texture and is low sudsing.
We used to make only plant based soaps but the bars were soft and melted away quickly when wet. And no plant oil can moisturize skin like tallow / lard can.
Ingredients: Water, Tallow / lard, caustic acid, comfrey leaves, organic oats.
